The 593rd WE-Heraeus Seminar will review in detail and with comprehensive talks the different approaches of autonomous navigation, their development status and their potential for future space applications. The aim ot the Seminar is to bring together scientists from these related but sometimes poorly interconnected areas in an atmosphere that fosters exchange of information and ideas and leaves ample time for reflection and discussion. The WE-Heraeus Seminar will take place in the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef near Bonn (Germany) from June 8 - 11, 2015. The character of the Seminar will be informal, i.e. we would like to encourage the participants, especially young students and post-docs, to contribute and cover a broad range of topics.
