Submissions are requested by
email to hdieter@clemson.edu Author instructions can be found
at http://authors.elsevier.com/ (more specifically;
here). Inputs for the first version should be pdf files,
preferentially. (We can accept LaTeX+eps or complete WORD). Final
submissions will have to be LaTeX or WORD files for the text (templates
se "Guide for publishing with Elsevier at bottom right, here), and eps Postscript or
TIFF for images and artwork. PACS
standard keywords are required for each paper.
The elsart style macros were designed for producing a manuscript in a
format which is convenient for refereeing and copy editing purposes: we
require that the manuscript has a wide margin and ample line spacing,
an esthetic layout is not important. For the size of a paper, a
reduction factor of 70 per cent (10 manuscript pages produce 7 typeset
pages) will give an accurate estimate. latex.sty can be
used with LaTeX version 2.09, recommended is the use of elsart.cls with
LaTeX 2e. This offers all common options for referencing, including
figs. etc present in an up to date LaTeX setup. Full informationmay be
found on our web page http://authors.elsevier.com/, through the Index
in the right-hand menu. For specific questions the authors can use
thee-mail button on the web page and, if they contact
L.Bakker@elsevier.nl directly he will offer all possible help.
Page limits on the final
paper apply as follows:
- normal contributions: 5 pages (7 1/4 in referee layout)
- invited and solicited contributions: 6 pages (8 1/2 in referee
layout)
- poster contributions: 4 pages (6 in referee layout)
