IPELS'99: Location

The tiny village of Kreuth is beautifully located at the northern entry to the Alps on the way from Munich to the Inn valley via Tegernsee. It lies about 60 km south of Munich and about 100 km from Munich Airport (see map).
Tegernsee is in most people's opinion the most beautiful of all Bavarian lakes. Kreuth is about 5 km south of it. Around Tegernsee there are attractive communities with good restaurants and shops, even a casino. Boating on the lake, cable cars to the nearby mountain tops, hang gliding, plenty of easy to moderately difficult hiking trails, tennis court, open-air heated swimming pools, and much more is available.
