Eclipse of the X-ray Binary GX 5-1 by the Moon
The eclipse of the X-ray binary GX 5-1 by the Moon. The photon energies have been colour coded: The hard X-rays from GX 5-1 are green; the soft photons from the Moon's surface are red. The faint, diffuse halo emission is clearly seen at the northeastern rim of the Moon shortly before eclipse egress (right).
