X-ray Image of the Region around the Ecliptical South Pole with LMC
X-ray image of the region around the ecliptical south pole from the ROSAT Survey. All survey strips inherently overlap at the pole, yielding an extremely long exposure. The radial strip pattern reflects only the status of the analysis and will vanish after inclusion of the entire data set. At the right edge the Large Magellanic Cloud is clearly visible.
