Qualification Model of an X-Ray Mirror Modul for XMM

The qualification model (QM) of a mirror modul for the X-ray telescope XMM was tested in MPE's X-ray test facility PANTER at Neuried. The picture demontrates the imaging quality of the telescope by illumination with an X-ray point source at a distance of 120 m. Whereas the intra and extra focal images give hints to the shape and illumination of the mirror shells, the image of the focal plane gives information about the sharpness of the reproduction.
