Gamma-ray Burst 990506

A Gamma-Ray Burst was detected by BATSE (trigger 7549) on 1999 May 6, 11:23:30 UT. RXTE-PCA started scanning a 8(R.A.) x 6(Dec.) deg. region at 14:26 UT. A previously unknown X-ray source was detected, and localized to 0.1 deg accuracy. Triangulation with Ulysses further constrained the position (see below).
