Environment of AGN and morphology of their host

These are the sources in the sample that are covered by SDSS. Each image is 2x2a rcmin.

This is my PhD thesis(pdf file). A statistically complete sample of 93 local ( 0.009 z 0.1) and X-ray flux limited (ROSAT PSPC count-rate 0.3 cts s 1 at 0.5-2 keV) Seyfert 1 and NLSy1 galaxies has been studied for the morphology of their host galaxies and their environment. Images in R and B band have been used for disentangling host and nuclear components. Spectra were also acquired for all the candidate companions detected within 10 times the radius of the AGN. Chapter 5 summarizes the results.
I am proud of the work, altough eventually I must go back and correct all the typos (many!). So far I published only one of the results (Multiwavelength Scaling Relations for Nuclei of Seyfert Galaxies), while the results on the host/AGN decomposition was used in Hasinger, Miyaji and Schmidt 2005 .
But I do not dispair; I will manage to publish it for real, one day. Specially becausea lot of interesting work is currently carried out on the same topic but at higher redshift, and my work is the reference point for the local Universe!
