Research InterestsGalaxies, galaxies and galaxies! (and cluster of galaxies) Yes, my research interests are focused on galaxy formation and evolution from the observational point of view. The last years I have been concentrated on a project aimed to investigate the star-formation activity of galaxies out to large clustercentric distances in clusters at intermediate redshifts (see Verdugo et al. 2008). Other projects include the search of dwarf galaxies in the local universe (see Whiting et al. 2007), the origin of cD halos (ongoing), the galaxy population in the large scale structures around a massive cluster of galaxies (ongoing) and the kinematics evolution of galaxies at intermediate redshifts (ongoing, see Kutdemir et al. 2008). Now I am working at the group of Cluster of Galaxies and Cosmology at the MPE. |
