QFitsView Viewing tools
The viewing tools panel is divided into three sections:
- information of the pixel under the cursor (pixel coordinates, pixel value and WCS coordinates)
- the magnifier
- a total view of the image
The magnifier shows the image under the cursor at a zoom factor of 400%. The current cursor position is marked by a rectangle.
At the top of the total view, the size in pixels and the zoom factor used for the total view is shown. The total view shows as a rectangle the currently visible part of the image when the zoom factor of the main window is such that scrollbars are visible. The rectangle can be dragged with the left mouse button to select the viewing area.
The Viewing tools window can be removed by clicking the small "x" at the upper top. It can be dragged away from the main window and let float. If the window is invisible, it can be brought back using the Window->Viewing Tools menu entry.
