Brain drain
Books Well... more than `Books’ I should call this page `Book’, singular. This is entitled Senza attendere (Without waiting), written in collaboration with Mario Caligiuri and published by Rubbettino (2006). It’s about the brain drain problem in Italy, why the world of science has no appeal and many, who have a wish to become a scientist, leave the country. Quite simple: no meritocracy, too much bureaucracy, little space for young scientists and women, political control and corruption, lack of funding.
