4/2012: Looking for Master students: see here for project suggestions.
More recent work:
Interaction of jets in high-redshift galaxies with a massive gas disk
Jet-induced star formation in gas-rich galaxies
Presentation at the COSPAR 2010 in Bremen in the session "Cosmic Feedback"
Presentation at the workshop "Powerful Radio Galaxies: Triggering and Feedback" in Leiden/NL (November 2009): 3D interaction of a powerful jet with a galactic gaseous disk. MPEG-4 Movie.
New paper "Very light jets
magnetized jets on large scales: I. Evolution and magnetic fields"
appeared in MNRAS. Movies on this can be found at the Research page, and more movies are yet to come...
Synthetic emission maps of light jets (red is X-ray bremsstrahlung emission, green is X-ray inverse-Compton, blue is synchrotron emission). They give an impression, what we expect our jets to "look like". A paper on this is in preparation.
Conference Proceedings of the Extragalactic Jets Conference in Girdwood/Alaska (May 2007).
HLRS report 2006: Report for the HLRS (High Performance Computing Centre Stuttgart) about code optimizations and jet simulations (2006-07-31)
Presentation at the HLRS Results and Review Workshop, Stuttgart, 2005-10-13: Images and animations, see Martin Krause's homepage.
HLRS report 2005: Report for the HLRS (High Performance Computing Centre Stuttgart) about astrophysical jets in dense environments

You borrow books from the Heidelberg University Library and sometimes
forget to return them?
HPB is an easy
way to get remembered by email and save the money. (Oct 2007: this program is obsolete now, as the library finally offers this service for everybody.)
