ASTRO-4/2

MPE's first Wolter mirror system was launched on the Skylark rocket in 1979 from Woomera. Equipped with a precursor of the ROSAT PSPC it made the first real colour picture in X-rays of a cosmic X-ray source (Puppis A). Two further flights in 1982 and 1987 brought results on Cas A and the Supernova 1987 A, respectively.
