Photography Research CV About
Rebecca Davies

I am an ASTRO 3D Postdoctoral Research Associate at Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. I study chemical enrichment and the sources of ionizing radiation at the epoch of reionization using metal absorption lines in the spectra of z~6 quasars from the XQR-30 survey.

I did my PhD in the Infrared and Submillimeter Group at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics (MPE) near Munich, Germany, where I used near infrared integral field data from the SINS/zC-SINF and KMOS^3D surveys to study outflows in galaxies at the peak epoch of star formation (z~2).

During my undergraduate and honours studies at the Australian National University, I developed a method to spatially and spectrally separate emission associated with star formation, shock excitation and AGN activity in galaxies, and also worked on data reduction and processing for the S7 Survey.

On this website you can find my publication list and CV, descriptions of my projects and papers, and some of my photography.
