recognizes (and removes) glitches:
glitch recognizes glitches by differentiating the ramps and looking for
extreme values, which then correspond to jumps in the ramps:
- differentiated 24 Hz bit values are computed
- if they are larger than a width factor/threshold,
these points are marked as glitches and flagged
- cosmics in most cases deposit energy ("positive glitches"),
but also negative glitches (/jumps) can occur
- glitch detection not possible during reset cut out
- glitch detection difficult for weak glitches
- strong glitches can saturate detectors
- strong glitches can produce long tails
- glitch (tail) removal is still tbd (!)
- glitch detection might have problems with SWS01 observations:
esp. for high speed strong lines might be flagged as glitches
Cal-files:
- cal06: glitch reject levels
