The Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics makes its research, projects and the people behind them visible, accessible and engaging for a broad audience.
The Communications & Public Relations team is the Institute’s central point of contact for questions about MPE and its scientific work — for media, members of the public, visitors and staff.
MPE engages with the public through a broad range of activities, including:
- Press releases on scientific results and news from the Institute
- Social Media on LinkedIn, Instagram and BlueSky.
- Regular events such as the open house and guided tours for groups
- Public lectures, some of them available online
- Information material about the Institute and individual research projects
